e2i and CPA Australia extend Place-and-Train Accounts & Audit Professionals Programme to SMF members

The Singapore manufacturing sector has a new avenue to hire mid-career professionals looking to switch into the accounting profession, as the industry seeks to relieve the crunch for such talent. e2i and CPA Australia are collaborating with the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) to extend the Place-and-Train Accounts & Audit Professionals Programme to support the hiring and training of accounts or audit professionals in the manufacturing industry. Boosting the professionalism of real estate professionals

Singapore’s second largest union launched SISEU Real Estate Professionals’ Chapter and partners industry players to enhance the competencies of real estate professionals  The Singapore Industrial and Services Employees’ Union (SISEU) officially launched the SISEU Real Estate Professionals’ Chapter to reach out to 32,000 real estate professionals in Singapore. In conjunction with the launch, four training bundles comprising three core continuing professional development (CPD) courses each have been identified to address the different training needs of the real estate professionals in the real estate agency industry as part of the pilot training pathway to deepen their expertise in a planned and progressive manner. New path for mid-career professionals to join the accounting industry

Local mid-career professionals with no accounting background can now enter the accounting profession through e2i’s Place-and-Train Accounts & Audit Professionals Programme Mid-career professionals in Singapore without accounting work experience or accounting-related qualifications can now be hired and trained as Accounts or Audit professionals. This has been made possible by a new pilot programme, a result of a partnership between NTUC’s e2i (Employment and Employability Institute) and professional accounting body CPA Australia. Under the new “Place-and-Train Accounts & Audit Professionals Programme”, e2i will provide participating employers training allowances and subsidise up to 70% of course fees for successful candidates who are recruited under this programme.
