Over 1,000 jobs via new e-career fair for aspiring early childhood professionals

Over 1,000 jobs in the Early Childhood profession will be on offer by more than 30 employers at an upcoming Early Childhood E-career fair. This initiative is part of the Early Childhood Manpower Plan announced in October 2016 by Minister Tan Chuan-Jin, which aims to attract about 4,000 more Early Childhood professionals in the next three to four years. For the first time, the National Trades Union Congress’ (NTUC) e2i (Employment and Employability Institute) is bringing job opportunities to the community at the district level. e2i, together with grassroots volunteers from West Coast Group Representation Constituency (GRC) and Pioneer Single Member Constituency (SMC), will kick off the inaugural Jobs Connect 2017 Career Fair at the Boon Lay Community Club on Friday, 30 June 2017. The 2-day Career Fair will offer over 1,000 vacancies from 27 companies in both service and technical sectors.
