Career Support Programme

What is Career Support Programme (CSP)?

CSP is part of the Adapt and Grow initiative to encourage employers to support Singaporeans in making career transitions.

The Career Support Programme (CSP) is a limited wage support programme to encourage employers to offer suitable job opportunities to mature Singaporean Professionals, Managers and Executives (PMETs) to tap on the wealth of experience they may bring to the workplace. Employers must commit to offering structured/approved training to the PMETs recruited and fulfill other eligibility criteria. WSG approved courses can be found here.

CSP will be piloted from 1 October 2015 for a period of two years and is part of the suite of career services offered by Workforce Singapore (WSG) Career Centres and e2i (Employment and Employability Institute).

Why do you want to be part of CSP?
Have access to a pool of experienced and skilled mature Singaporean PMETs and defraying a portion of their wage bill
Qualifying Criteria
Does my organization meets the requirements?
1. Organization must be incorporated in Singapore
2. Hired PMETs who met the qualifying criteria
3. Pays minimum $4000 (basic + fixed allowance)
4. Provides a WSQ training programme or a WSG approved OJT.
Application
How to apply?
Employers are required to submit the registration to followup@e2i.com.sg indicating “Company Name – CSP Application” as the email title with the following documents/information:
     1. Details of the Employer
         a. Name of company or organisation
         b. Company’s Unique Entity Number (UEN)
         c. Name, designation and contact details of company representative/point of contact (usually HR personnel)
         d. Company’s Type (SME/MNC etc)
         e. Company’s Industry Type (Based on SSIC 2010)
     2. Scanned copy of Employment letter / contract showing company’s letterhead, company’s stamp for the new hire with the following information:
         a. Name of prospective new hire and NRIC number
         b. Gross monthly salary (basic salary plus allowances that attract CPF contribution)
         c. Work commencement date
         d. Employment type, i.e. permanent or contract (please indicate duration)
     3. A colored copy of the qualifying PMET’s NRIC for the scheme
     4. A completed CSP Application form (Terms and Conditions to be completed by employers, Details of New Hire and PMET Declaration)

Claims
How to submit claim?
There are 2 tranches of claims submission after 6th month and 12th month of the qualifying PMET’s employment.

All submission of claims are required to submit directly to WSG by employers.

Employers will be required to submit:
    1. Claims request form
    2. CPF statements for the past 6months

Note: WSG may request for any other document to support the verification of PMET’s employment, salary payment and training records

How will CSP benefit me as an Employer?

The Government provide support to employers by giving them access to an existing pool of experienced and skilled mature Singaporean PMETs, and by defraying a portion of the wage costs during the transition period as in Table 1.

A. Aged ≥ 40 (Made redundant)
B. Aged 40-49 (LTU)
C. Aged 16-40 (LTU and made redundant)
First six months of employment 40% of gross monthly salary, capped at $2,800 a month 20% of gross monthly salary, capped at $1,400 a month
Next six months of employment 20% of gross monthly salary, capped at $1,400 a month 10% of gross monthly salary, capped at $700 a month
