Reskilling for Jobs – Work Trial
Reskilling for Jobs – Work Trial is part of the Adapt and Grow initiative which helps Singaporean workers adapt to changing job demands and grow their careers.
As part of the Adapt and Grow initiative, the Reskilling for Jobs – Work Trial aims to strengthen the employability of locals, particularly the rank-and-file workers through a short-term (16 hours to 480 hours) on-the-job training (OJT) with a host company.
Job seekers will undergo a structured OJT programme with hiring companies to acquire skills, and improve their confidence to potentially take on new jobs. Singaporeans can enjoy a higher level of Training Allowance and Retention Incentive to encourage them to reskill, take on new jobs, and stay on the job.
The Reskilling for Jobs – Work Trial will be part of the suite of the career services offered by the Workforce Singapore (WSG) Career Centres and the Employment and Employability Institute (e2i), from 1 May 2016 for a period of three years.
