UTAP Development Series for SMEs

Eight in ten SMEs struggle to upgrade staff skills and that this would continue to be a major challenge for SMEs over the next few years. To address this gap, e2i, USME unit and Singapore Polytechnic’s Professional and Adult Continuing Education Academy (PACE) came together to customise a suite of essential courses to encourage SME companies and workers to take up skills upgrading.

For a start, 5 courses were identified under the UTAP Development Series for SMEs and have been rolled out since March 2018. Subsidies will be provided by NTUC Education and Training Fund (NETF) to incentivise self-initiated individuals and SME companies sign up their workers in sending their staff for training.
